A festival performance prepared for an international audience

KEXP brought its Live on KEXP format to SPOT Festival. MXD’s announcement names the four acts, the Aarhus filming collaboration and host Kevin Cole. The project connected performances during the Danish showcase festival with KEXP’s broadcast and online channels.

Tapetown’s contribution brought concert production, picture and sound into the same project. Planning a live session for release means considering the performance in the room and the version that an audience will later watch and hear.

Production scope and the released-session credits

Tapetown’s published session credits place these performances at Dypång during SPOT Festival. They credit Jonna Aspeklev and Rasmus Bredvig for recording, with Rasmus mixing and Jonna assisting. Those credits identify the audio team within the wider audiovisual production.

For a related commission, the useful starting points are the artists, venue, performance schedule and intended release. Agreeing the live-event responsibilities, recording requirements and finished films together helps define what the production needs to deliver.
