Tapetown / Production case study
Eurosauna with Het resort: art-event and stage production
Eurosauna brought art and music into a former sauna in Groningen. Tapetown collaborated with Het resort and independent music partners on stage and art-event production. The two-day programme was part of the Eurosonic/Noorderslag ART route and is one example of Tapetown’s international cultural work.

An art and music programme in an unusual space
Het resort’s original programme presents Eurosauna as a festival combining live music with video and performance work. Its former-sauna setting placed the programme outside a conventional concert hall. Art and concerts shared the event rather than appearing as separate productions.
For cultural organisers, a project like this raises practical questions early: how the audience moves, where performances happen, and how an existing space can support the programme. The setting becomes part of the production brief.
A collaboration across independent music communities
Tapetown appears across both nights in Het resort’s programme, alongside different groups of independent music partners. Tapetown’s contribution was stage and art-event production within that shared event. The original listing gives the participating organisations, artists and programme structure.
For a new international collaboration, tell us about the host space, local team, artists and proposed responsibilities. The brief can then address the event itself and how the partners will work together. Eurosauna is past work in Groningen; The Reserve’s own spaces are being developed on Djursland.
